My experience at the Gunstock Inn was a mixed bag. On one hand, the views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains were stunning, and the dining at Schuster’s Tavern was genuinely a treat with delicious food. However, the service had some glaring issues, especially with the dining hours being inconsistent, and the atmosphere was occasionally marred by a lack of facilities. Overall, it’s a charming place with potential, but with improvements needed in service continuity.

Rooms

The room was clean and spacious, but the setup felt a bit outdated with limited furnishings like seating and closet space.
Service

While some staff were accommodating, there were lapses in service availability, particularly in the restaurant hours and bar access, which was quite frustrating.

The location is perched on a hill with breathtaking views and is conveniently close to Gunstock ski mountain, making it a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
Dining

Dining at Schuster’s Tavern was enjoyable, with dishes like prime rib that left a positive impression, though the hours could use some stability.

Facilities like the indoor pool were a delightful surprise, albeit usage was restricted at times, which detracted from the overall charm.

5.0/10

My stay at the Gunstock Inn was quite disappointing. While the location was good for the nearby attractions, the overall condition of the place was incredibly run down. The facilities were mostly closed, and it felt more like a deserted place than a resort. If you're looking for charm or decent upkeep, you might want to reconsider staying here.

Rooms
5.0
The room was outdated and musty, with no tissues in the bathroom. It felt borderline disgusting and in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint.
Service
5.0
The service was minimal, with no housekeeping available during our stay. The lack of staff contributed to the overall neglect of the property.
Location
8.0
The location was ideal for our concert, with a convenient drive to various attractions.
Dining

We were disappointed to find the restaurant and bar closed, and the limited snack options available were not appetizing.

7.2/10

The Gunstock Inn offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with lovely views of Lake Winnipesaukee. The rooms are comfortable and modernized, making it a pleasant stay overall. However, the dining options could use improvement, especially regarding breakfast availability. A few issues like noise from hall activities and limited water access due to unforeseen plumbing problems slightly detracted from our experience.

Rooms
8.0
I found the rooms to be somewhat updated, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and a great view. It felt quaint and clean, but the noise from the hallways was a bit distracting at times.
Service
7.0
The staff was pleasant and accommodating, eager to help when we needed assistance. However, it was disappointing that there was no discussion about compensation for the water outage we experienced.
Location
9.0
Situated just a mile from Gunstock Mountain and close to the lake, the location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature. The views from the common areas were breathtaking and truly added to the experience.
Dining
5.0
While there’s a nice steakhouse nearby, the dining options at the Inn were limited; breakfast consisted of coffee in the lobby, which was nice but could be expanded.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a saltwater pool, which I didn't get to use, but the common areas were well kept. There's also a charming outdoor patio that seemed inviting.

5.4/10

Our stay at the Inn was a mix of comfort and some significant disappointments. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, which was appreciated after long days at the resort. However, we encountered a few major issues, like the inability to open the windows and strange bathroom configurations. The dining experience also left much to be desired with below-average food quality. Given the inconsistencies, we’re likely to choose a different place on our next visit.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and had comfortable beds, but it still had a lingering smell of paint, and the windows were painted shut.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss, as staff often seemed more occupied with their restaurant than assisting guests at the front desk.
Location
7.0
While the location is close to Gunstock Mountain and Outlet shopping, access to the area is a bit tricky, especially during peak hours.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing, with flat sodas and flavorless chicken, leaving us unsatisfied.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities, particularly the pool, seemed inconvenient with age restrictions that we were unaware of beforehand.

The Gunstock Inn offers a variety of experiences, with beautifully renovated areas and a fantastic dining option at Schuster’s Tavern, where the food is standout. However, the inconsistent service and limited access to amenities such as the pool were significant downsides during my stay.

Rooms
6.0
Our room was spacious but in need of some refurbishing, leaving us to wonder if the sheets had even been changed after the previous guests checked out.
Service
5.0
Service was a mixed bag; while some staff were friendly, the failure to open facilities led to some frustration.
Location
6.0
The location is decent, but there are limited options for dining nearby, which can be problematic.
Dining
8.0
Dining at Schuster’s Tavern was fantastic, especially the prime rib, but overall options at the hotel are lacking.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like the pool seemed to be closed or limited at times, which was disappointing given the resort's promise of amenities.
